Job Description

What you’ll be doing:
- Assist Director, Accounts Payable with system upgrades and ongoing process improvements.
- Perform ad hoc reporting and spend analysis for cross-departmental functions to evaluate cost cutting opportunities within the organization.
- Lead and support Accounts Payable supplier maintenance and payment processing teams, including vendor-related reconciliations and resolutions of discrepancies.
- Handle special projects assigned by Senior Accounting leadership.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly accruals to ensure accurate expense recognition.
- Perform general ledger accounting including analysis, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Resolve complicated payables issues concerning vendors, theatres, and Theatre Support Center.
- Act as the Sarbanes Oxley/Internal Control Owner and Sub-certifier.
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Business or Accounting) or commensurate work experience.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles (Accounts Payable, Sarbanes Oxley and general ledger accounting).
- Highly proficient with MS Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management.
- Experience with data analysis and research utilizing data warehouse and other various sources.
- Proactive approach to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Ability to learn quickly, multitask and manage a team effectively.
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Accounts Payable (AP) subledger system experience.
- Oracle WebCenter Document Imaging experience or other enterprise content management system experience.
