AddressPosition Objective: CDC’s Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) is a metadata platform that contains an inventory of CDC’s most important data assets, an exploratory search engine that provide results relevant to CDC work and research, and a communal space to encourage collaboration amongst CDC staff and researchers. DMAC support for EDC will facilitate cataloging of CDC’s programs most valuable datasets to speed up discoverability and access to critical data in times of emergency response, help leadership take inventory of their C/I/O’s and program’s data assets to inform key decisions, and provide tools and resources which will assist CDC staff in finding relevant data to enrich their analysis and research.
Looking for an Analyst to provide Strategic Planning support and research data analysis expertise for the STPB’s Strategic planning support initiative. The analyst will be key in supporting ongoing Strategic Planning activities, conducting research, and analyzing current processes, services, customers, communication, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the team with coordinated Strategic Planning activities
Support the Strategic Planning Lead in implementing a framework for evaluating current strategic activities and document gaps and recommendations for a future state
Document a SWOT Analysis for the Branch
Maintain a stakeholder matrix and ensure the right participants are included in each meeting.
Requests guidance related to approach and methodology as needed from the Strategic Planning Lead.
Maintains the Strategic Planning Tracker and updates Strategic Planning guidance documents and resources as needed.
Work closely with other members of the team to support data management and analysis, reporting, and planning needs.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum Education Requirements:
PhD w/ 2+ years of relevant experience; or
Master’s degree w/ 3+ years of relevant experience; or
Bachelor’s degree w/ 5+ years of relevant experience; or
Associate’s degree w/ 6+ years of relevant experience; or
No degree w/ 10+ years of relevant experience
Knowledge of and experience with Strategic Planning, project management,
Excellent time management and organizational skills with demonstrated problem-solving initiative.
Knowledge of ITIL Implementation.
Attention to detail; excellent verbal communication, writing, and editing skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with non-technical and technical staff
Detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects
