This position is located in a multidisciplinary high-throughput field laboratory of Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), Office of Public Health Science (OPHS), Laboratory Regulatory Operations (LRO). The incumbent takes direction from and provides technical support and assistance to the Program Analyst (GS-12) in the effective execution of FSIS administrative management policies and procedures (financial, personnel, administrative services), as these relate to the laboratory activities.Qualifications: Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements (including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education) by the closing date of the announcement, as defined below:
Time in grade: Applicants must meet one year at the next lower grade to be considered for the next higher grade (e.g. one year at the GS-05 grade level for consideration at the GS-07 grade level.)
For the GS-07 level: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-05 level) that demonstrates:
Performing administrative functions such as timekeeping, purchasing supplies, or maintaining records. It also includes responding to information requests and using office computer software programs.
For the GS-09 level: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-07 level) that demonstrates:
Performing administrative functions such as timekeeping, purchasing supplies, or maintaining records. It also includes responding to information requests and using office computer software programs and experience demonstrating contract administration including initiating new OR maintaining existing contracts.

GS-07 - 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
