Summary
About the Position: This Management Analyst position is located at U.S. Army Forces Command, 1st Armored Division with duty location of Fort Bliss, TX.

Duties
  • Serves as primary functional expert on civilian personnel actions, and as primary liaison with the Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC).
  • Participates in the evaluation of higher headquarters policy changes for impact in order to assess current policies or provide implementing guidance to the activity.
  • Analyzes Directorate missions, management objectives and organizational goals, projecting personnel needs and potential problems.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience involves conducting studies and surveys to provide recommendations on manpower utilization that involve staffing requests, reorganizations, mission changes, manpower allocation readjustments AND/OR other manpower related functions.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.

How You Will Be Evaluated
You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
