Under general supervision, position in this function utilize equipment and computer systems to provide patients with quality digital mammograms. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, quality control and the adherence to American College of Radiology and MQSA guidelines. The position requires excellent positioning, communication, organizational, and problem solving skills.
- Consistently performs high quality digital mammograms
- Follows established protocols based on the needs of the individual patient and ordered exam
- Explains procedures and observes patients to ensure safety and comfort during exam
- Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients and staff
- Evaluates images for technical quality
- Maintains the cleanliness of the mammography machine and associated equipment in accordance with the infection control policies and procedures

- High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience
- Completion of a course in imaging technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and board certified or board eligible in Mammography (must obtain certification within one year of hire)
- Active WA state license or pending application
Washington Residents Only: The hourly range for Washington residents is $27.07 to $53.08 per hour.
