- Qualify Major Gift prospects in tandem with prospect research and historical giving data to create a comprehensive strategy for donor cultivation, solicitation, and retention based on the donor's giving history and capacity.
- Initiate outreach, build relationships, and increase engagement with individuals, thus moving non-donors to engaged annual supporters, mid-level supporters to Major Gift status (4-5 figure gifts), and major donors to multi-year commitments (5-6 figure gifts), with eventual planned gift support.
- With direction from the DoD and CEO, develop a cultivation strategy for each portfolio member and execute that strategy that includes personalized donor experience through regular correspondence, face-to-face meetings, written appeals, and timely acknowledgements.
- Partner with DoD, CEO, and volunteers on funding requests by providing prospect briefings, strategic guidance, and assistance with donor communications.
- Plan, develop, and participate in strategic donor engagement opportunities, such as small events for targeted prospects and larger donor stewardship events.
- Track prospect activity in database to develop and maintain regular reports that reflect progress toward building relationships and increasing donor support.
- Possess and communicate a passion for Auberle’s mission.
- Demonstrate an understanding of and respect for the cultural diversity of consumers, volunteers, staff and other stakeholders.
