Club Information

Ridgewood Country Club is a private member-owned Club that was established in 1920. The Club’s facilities include an 18-hole golf course designed by renowned golf course architect Devereux Emmet, four outdoor tennis courts, an outdoor pool and bathhouse. There are several dining areas that include a casual member Pub Room that seats 100+, banquet hall seating 180, Terrace Room seating 60, Grill Room seating 60, Outdoor Patio seating 100+ and Pool Snack Bar.

Job Summary

Carries out, supervises or coordinates all clubhouse repairs and general maintenance needed for equipment, furniture, plumbing, masonry and building structure. This position also assists with the seasonal set up and breakdown of outdoor areas and winterizing and de-winterizing as well as assists house staff with set up and breakdown of larger events.

Job Tasks

• Maintains and makes general repairs to the plumbing fixtures, furniture, woodwork, electrical system, appliances, ventilation system and building structure of the Club.
• Monitors all work performed by outside contractors.
• Supervises the maintenance of parking lots, tennis courts, swimming pool and other recreational areas.
• Ensures that all building maintenance, repair and cleaning activities inside and outside are identified, scheduled and completed.
• Conducts plumbing repairs such as leaking pipes, faucets and clogged drains.
• Performs various duties involving painting, plumbing, carpet cleaning, carpentry and light electrical work.
• Maintains the air conditioning, refrigerators and Ice makers.
• Maintains inventory of light bulbs, HVAC air filters and other general maintenance supply items.
• Assists with the opening of the pool area, outdoor patios and tennis courts.
• Assists House Staff with set-up and breakdown of large events.
• Runs errands to gather supplies in club owned truck to supply stores such as Home Depot, Lowes, etc..

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
