POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Supervisor is a self-motivated position whose responsibilities will be but not limited to giving day to day direction regarding all aspects of the fixed and mobile maintenance teams, direct, perform and oversee scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs to mobile and fixed equipment, light auto, trailer fleet and trucks with little supervision. Key duties include performing day to day direction of the maintenance team in a safe, efficient, quality minded, and customer focused manner is supporting TSIMCO and all it’s offsite businesses.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS
- Ensures all equipment repairs are being executed, performed accurately and commissioned per job plan and/or maintenance, safety & environmental standards.
- Responsible for work flow, work order completion and schedule compliance.
- Inspects, diagnoses and initiates repair as needed in terms of corrective actions.
- Supports Preventative Maintenance/Predictive Maintenance practices.
- Works closely with Planning and Scheduling to plan and ensure accuracy of Work Requests, Work Orders & job plans where applicable.
- Performs preventive maintenance on fleet trailers including routine technical repairs and completing job orders.
- Efficiently and accurately perform and supervise maintenance work tasks for OTR fleet, plant support equipment, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, shredders, conveyor systems, welding, cutting, time and resource management.
- Able to perform tasks and supervise maintenance personnel in tasks requiring compliance with DOT regulations and other governmental standards pertaining to safe equipment operations.
- Uses typical mechanic’s tools, inspection gauges as required, CBM tools and computer diagnostics.
- Reads and understands technical information and drawings on equipment as required.
- Upholds all applicable TSIMCO employee and safety policies.
- Upholds all applicable DOT and other applicable State & Federal regulations as it pertains to safe & legal operations and reporting.
- Upholds all applicable OSHA and other applicable State & Federal regulations as it pertains to completing daily work orders and safety standards of our facility
- Upholds all applicable environmental regulations and standards required of our facility
PHYSICAL ASPECTS:
- Stands, walk, use hands, reaches, climbs, stoops, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear frequently 30% - 70%.
- Lifts to 50 lbs. 30% - 70%.
- Lifts to 100 lbs. under 30%.
- Requires close vision at 20 inches or less.
- Requires distant vision at 20 feet or more.
- Requires the ability to distinguish colors.
- Requires good peripheral vision.
- Must be able to walk comfortably up to a mile daily
- Frequently will be required to push/pull and climb ladders greater than 20ft.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires:
- High School diploma.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a mechanic.
- Good general knowledge of heavy and light mobile and stationary equipment.
- Good general knowledge of maintenance equipment & tools applicable to the job.
- Good communication skills: verbal and written in English.
- Knowledge in Reliability Based Maintenance, a plus.
- Knowledgeable in reading working drawings, schematics and technical information.
- Familiar with DOT regulations pertaining to safe fleet operations
- Familiar with Work Order Management Systems.
- Familiar with industrial machinery.
- Familiar with fleet and plant electrical systems, a plus.
- Familiar with heavy equipment and OTR truck gas & diesel power engines and drive trains
- Familiar with lubrication best practices.
- Proficient in the use of safety equipment to include, but not limited to: fall protection, respirators and other AOR required PPE.
- Able to direct working lead men and crews in a safe and efficient manner.
