The Maintenance Supervisor is foremost a leader and responsible for making decisions regarding the proper functioning of hydraulic electrical equipment that manufactures blow-molded bottles and containers.
Job Description-
- Managing the APS PM element systems.
- Be a living example, mentor, coach for Altium’s 7 Guiding Principles.
- Ensuring that all Maintenance department assignments are completed correctly, to standard, and in a timely manner.
- Working on specified projects and being accountable for team’s completion.
- Troubleshooting and solving any machinery issues that arise in plant.
- Scheduling team and overseeing performance.
- Participating in daily meetings with other shift leaders and management.
- Training of new team members.
- Interacting with clients and vendors in a professional manner.
Required Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in high output plastics manufacturing environment with in-depth knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
- 5 to 10 years’ experience working in maintenance field as manager with direct reports.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively assess situations and make appropriate decisions.
- Ability to analyze skills of team members and recognize their strengths and areas of development.
- Professionalism and dedication to excellence in customer care.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Accounting or experience with budgets.
Schedule:
- Primarily 6am to 4pm Mon-Friday, however Salaried Support Leadership employees are expected to work various hours of the day and night.
- Should spend a majority of work weeks on the shop floor building capability and facilitating waste/loss reduction initiatives.
