Overview:
We're seeking skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician (s) to join our team.
JOB PURPOSE:
The purpose of the Maintenance Technician is to provide day-to-day maintenance to the Clubs’ facilities and grounds. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for executing maintenance requests by diagnosing problems and making repairs and ensuring that service requests and repairs are made in a timely manner. Duties and responsibilities may be changed based on business demand. Tasks and duties will include preventive maintenance of the Club’s plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, carpentry, and participate in our maintenance and energy conservation initiatives. This position has a heavy emphasis on safety and clean and accurate workmanship and ensures, AT ALL times, absolute compliance with OSHA guidelines. Abides by and demonstrates the shared spirit of “Serve Those Who Serve” member services system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Assists management in identifying maintenance problems
2. Performs preventive maintenance and completes work orders on mechanical equipment and systems in all areas of the Club
3. Keeps accurate maintenance and repair records of equipment, machines, and systems
4. Maintains and repairs overnight and banquet rooms, offices, furniture, doors, windows, walls, tiling, carpeting, electrical-mechanical and HVAC equipment
5. Performs routine preventative maintenance (PM) to ensure and extend the life of company assets
6. Will diagnose and determine causes of mechanical or technological operation errors and recommend course(s) of action
7. Keeps maintenance shop and work area clean, safe and organized.
8. Responds to emergencies promptly and effectively
9. Assist with maintaining supplies and parts inventory
10. Assists management with special projects and assignments
11. Aware of the Army and Navy Club members’ needs when determining repairs and or maintenance activities
12. Maintains a clean, uniform, hygiene, and professional appearance and demeanor at all times
13. Attendance is an essential function of the position. Position may require nights, weekends, holidays, and on call status
14. Responds to emergencies as scheduled or required by management
15. Conducts himself/herself in a professional manner at all times as a “goodwill ambassador” of the Army and Navy Club
16. Other duties as assigned by management
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma graduate or (GED graduate) and basic math calculations is required.
- Completion of vocational or technical related job courses and certificate is preferred. (HVAC, Electric, Building and Construction or related Mechanical) discipline is highly desirable.(or in process of working on professional certification).
- 4 + years of experience as a Maintenance worker, repair worker, electrician, plumber or construction maintenance is required. Preferred candidate will have previous experience in a commercial building, boutique style hotel, or hospitality business environment or similar related industry.
- Basic MS office suite, Internet, Photocopier, desktop computer, cellular telephone and basic office equipment.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
