Job Description
Summary /Objective
This position’s primary responsibility is to maintain and repair equipment & facilities at Central Coast Cooling/Customers as instructed by the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager. The Maintenance Technician-Ice Facilities will make repairs and perform needed preventive maintenance to ice production equipment, ice injection equipment, precooling equipment, motors, conveyors, cold room fixtures, vehicles, other equipment, offices, and general property and facility repairs. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician-Ice Facilities may be called upon to travel to and perform other repair and maintenance duties.

1. Welding.
2. Fabricating.

5. Painting (Epoxy, DTM and other paints).

7. Implementing Lock-out Tag-out (LOTO) procedures.

Work Environment
This job operates in a cooler and manufacturing settings. This position routinely uses manufacturing equipment such as scanners, forklifts, lift trucks, injectors, etc.
This is an active role. Ninety percent (90%) of the workday can be at any location on the CCC campus. This requires the ability to continuously walk, stoop, bend, push, pull, lift, and rotate. Continuous vision, hearing and talking with be necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This will be a full-time position. Monday through Saturday, varied hours, some Sundays. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Minimal.
Required Education and Experience
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Completed forklift training and have an operator’s license or be able to qualify for an operator’s license.
3. Working knowledge of tools, both hand tools and power tools.
4. Experience in electrical work, hydraulics, welding and fabricating.
5. Basic knowledge of arithmetic functions, such as addition and subtraction/division and multiplication.
6. Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and be able to effectively respond to and communicate with customers. Also, must be able to respond COHERENTLY to basic inquiries from Supervisor(s), Management, and staff.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Maintain high standards regarding accuracy in cash receipts and change making, properly prepared paperwork, attentiveness to accuracy in monitoring systems, and ice production, courteous and respectful treatment of customers, maintaining a clean and sanitary facility and care and attention to use of all equipment. Employees must adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Other Duties
If all customers’ needs have been addressed and the ice systems are operating optimally The Maintenance Technician-Ice Facilities is required to assist with housekeeping (Cleaning, Sorting, Placing Everything In Place), completing paperwork, or helping the maintenance department complete miscellaneous projects and ad hoc work. The Maintenance Technician-Ice Facilities is required to keep his/her supervisor informed of his/her workflow volume.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
