Maintenance Technician I

Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed):

1. Responsible for mechanical repair on all plant equipment
2. Set-up machines for production
3. Connect pneumatic and hydraulic lines to equipment
4. Perform preventative maintenance
5. Install replacement parts and order parts as necessary
6. Repair leaks on machinery
7. Install, maintain and repair equipment including, but not limited to, piping, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
8. Assure that all aspects of work conform to Company safety practices
9. Assist assigned operator in try-out of equipment upon completion of servicing

Qualifications:

1. Ability to interpret hydraulic and/or pneumatic diagrams
2. Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints
3. Knowledge in the use of precision measuring instruments, i.e., micrometers or calipers
4. Understanding of principles of welding, i.e., GMAW, SMAW, etc. and related safety knowledge
5. Understanding of principles of general fabrication
6. Ability to operate personnel lifts safely and effectively
7. Ability to operate forklifts safely and effectively
8. General understanding of piping
9. General understanding of rigging
10. Ability to utilize various powered tools such as grinders and drills
