Maintenance Technician

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking for a Manufacturing Maintenance/Facilities Technician III located in Vancouver, WA.

Wage: $30 - $35/hr

Schedule: Monday – Thursday w/ occasional overtime on Friday's

Shift: Days - 6:00am - 4:30pm

Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced responsive maintenance support for Manufacturing to maintain production equipment and maximize equipment up time and reliability. Trouble shoots and repairs equipment in timely manner to return equipment to full production capability.

• Perform maintenance on appliances, company owned automobiles, forklifts, man lifts, HVAC systems, fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers, central coolant systems, vacuum systems, compressed air systems, dust collection systems, manufacturing waste handling systems, office spaces, office furniture, roof tops, parking lots, landscaping, Irrigating system, general framing, plumbing, drywall, painting, general cleaning.

• Perform preventive maintenance work on shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery, or work as directed by the leadership team.

• Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts, following manufactures specifications and blueprints, using precision measuring instruments and hand tools.

• Set up and operate machine tool equipment in the maintenance area as well as basic operation of most production equipment such as drill presses, vertical mills, band saws, cut off saws, engine lathes, gas, arc, mig, and tig welding equipment as may be necessary to fabricate, repair and/or duplicate parts required to maintain and repair equipment.

• Perform minor plumbing, maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, repairs of sinks, toilets etc.)

• Performs minor painting, carpentry and masonry work (e.g. preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles etc.)

• Maintain and Document work orders daily in the CMMS system.

Maintenance Technician Requirements:

• 5-6 years of experience working in a maintenance position in a manufacturing environment is required.

• Expert knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulics with ability to take pressure and/or flow reading in accordance with ladder and schematic diagrams and determine values. Knowledge of linear and rotary drives including but not limited to ball screws, right angle, gear reducers, rack and pinion, belt and chain.

• Certifications: Ability to be certified to operate forklifts, scissors lift, overhead cranes and hoists to assist in material and personnel movement.

• Intermediate knowledge, diagnosis, and repair of machine mechanical systems including but not limited to linear and rotary drives, ball screws, clutches, spindle bearings, gear reducers, rack and pinion, belt and chain, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.

• Advanced knowledge in reading and interpreting electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and drawings.

• 5 years of experience working on and maintaining CNC equipment.

• Good computer skills (Microsoft word, Excel) CMMS

• Be able to diagnose, program, repair or replace PLC systems and controls preferred.

• Advanced knowledge and capable in troubleshooting and working on CNC controls w/ hard-drives and flash memory.

• Ability to read and make changes to machine code to support manufacturing requirements.
