Repair, maintain and service all aspects of the apartment community.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
A successful Maintenance Technician is responsible for duties including, but not limited to:
Perform maintenance and repairs in apartments, specifically authorized by work orders and emergency situations.
Maintenance of vacant apartments (follow comprehensive check list).
Updates Maintenance Supervisor with outstanding work order and building issues.
Perform various preventative maintenance functions.
Performs on-call emergency service if required.
Maintain grounds and common areas keeping them free of trash and debris.
Provides snow removal to all areas of the property as needed.
Providing world class customer service.
Well-rounded skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC.
OTHER
Ensure safe work practices are being followed by all maintenance staff.
Understands and complies with Fair Housing laws and standards.
This position requires personal contact with apartment residents. Proper conduct is essential at all times.
Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Versed in all aspects of repair and maintenance.
We recommend certifications in, HVAC, lead paint, asbestos and mold.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals. Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, residents and the general public.
