Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

To maintain a safe, clean, and functional Össur’s business and operational work environment. Duties include multiple maintenance functions such as painting, lighting, and janitorial services. Performs in-house maintenance functions and assists in facility special projects when necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that facilities and grounds are clean, well-organized, and safe.
• Ability to follow the documented work instructions.
• Perform documented daily PMs through ETQ. Reliance
• Maintain and preform 5S tasks.
• Ability and willingness to be trained on spill cleanup procedures.
• Ability and willingness to gain a working knowledge of our dual air compressors.
• Ability and willingness to learn how to operate and maintain the warehouse floor scrubber.
• Handy with basic tools to aid in minor repairs including but not limited to floor repairs, doors, walls, shelving, dock doors, desks, conveyors, and windows.
• Ability to assembly small units of desks, furniture, and other office accessories.
• Perform facilities maintenance on an as needed basis, i.e. lighting and painting.
• Work with appropriate supervision to ensure that warehouse areas are organized and efficiently utilized.
• Work with outside contractors and maintenance services to coordinate contracted repairs and maintenance agreements.
• Maintain facilities between janitorial service visits, including trash removal, replenishment of paper supplies, area and floor cleaning.
• Respond to emergency situations such as water leaks or plumbing malfunctions.
• Perform routine basic equipment maintenance as directed.
• Complete maintenance log and appropriate equipment history.
• Performs process validations.

General:

• All employees must be aware, have knowledge and shall have received general training in Quality requirements of Össur. Training takes place in the Onboarding process and in New Employee Orientation. More specific Quality training is job specific.
• All training related to the quality management system is done in accordance to the Training Management Process (QM1681).
• Exercises good use of company funds and property within the set guidelines. Maintains an honest and professional attitude as the company’s representative at all times.
• Contributes to a safe working environment by maintaining own workspace and reporting any potential hazards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma plus additional training specific to maintenance, equipment, and facilities management.
• Certified equipment operator (scissor lift, forklift, order picker, reach truck)
• Computer skills.
• One to three years of maintenance or janitorial experience.
• Attention to detail and cleanliness.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $26.00/hr - $33.00/hr + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
