SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical components within the manufacturing facility.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks as required and identify further equipment reliability improvements.
- Must take part in diagnosis of production, quality, and/or safety issues in area of responsibility and implement corrective actions as needed.
MAJOR DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Wear appropriate PPE and promote a safe working environment.
- Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing process electrical components at the level of either trained Electrician or E&I Technician.
- Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing process mechanical components.:
- Must fill out job reports, calipation reports, and checklists in a timely and accurate manner.
- Must work with all personnel and outside contractors to keep equipment operational and to complete projects.
- Fapicates and modifies machinery components as directed
- Installs machinery and equipment associated with manufacturing, facility and plant systems
- Fapicates and modifies machinery components as directed
- Communicate schedule conflicts or machine peakdowns immediately to Supervisor.
- Report schedule conflicts or machine peakdowns to affected area and across organization, as needed, to promote good communication.
- Assist in the development and adjustments of the PM schedule to operation level of the plant.
- Experience with Tig welding, Mig welding, Stick welding, Cutting, and Torching
Essential Job Functions:
- At least 5 years’ experience in an industrial maintenance environment
- Must be able to read and interpret mechanical and basic electrical drawings.
- Self-Starter
- Able to work under pressure and stressful environment
- Trouble-shooter and problem solver
- Able to participate in a team environment to solve problems and improve the process
- Required to work from heights up to 100’ and inside non-permit required confined spaces
- Must have and keep a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to push, pull, and lift plant equipment weighing in excess of 100 pounds
- Must have the ability to read and write in Basic English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated high level of skill as an Electrician greatly preferred
- Trained, certified through trade school
- Laser machine alignment and dial indication
- Tig Welding
- Trained, certified through trade school
