Pay Range: $23/hr-$25/hr
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Under the direction of the Community Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for safely maintaining the physical condition of the community. Main duties include completing service repair work orders, maintaining community infrastructure, community buildings, common areas and parking lots.
Responsibilities:
The technician will diagnose problems and make repairs in the following areas:
- Irrigation System
- Landscape
- Electrical
- Painting
- Plumbing
- Drywall
- Swimming Pool and Spa
DUTIES TO INCLUDE (BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
Repairing leaks to the irrigation system, changing light bulbs, changing light ballasts, minor repairs to building equipment, trash removal, pressure washing, painting, plumbing, some cleaning, minor electrical work, use of power tools and shop inventory.
Required for Position:
- At least 3 years of experience working in Building Maintenance for Residential or Commercial properties is required.
- Must be on time to work and have good regular attendance as part of our team.
- Maintains courteous and helpful demeanor with residents, co-workers and vendors.
- Ability to self-start and complete assigned tasks with little or no supervision in a timely manner.
- Ability to maintain a safe and secure environment throughout the buildings and property.
- Ability to complete reports/work orders of repairs relating to common areas of buildings, grounds and condo units.
- On-call availability for emergencies at night or on weekends REQUIRED.
- Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds; carry materials, bend, twist, kneel, climb, and balance.
- Ability to walk at a brisk pace and work in a kneeling position for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work outdoors in the rain or in extreme hot or cold weather.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
GENERAL GUIDELINES:
- A general knowledge of maintenance functions such as basic plumbing, irrigation, electric, drywall and carpentry
- Valid and active AZ driver's license
- Reliable transportation for daily work duties
- Certified Pool Operator a plus
