We are looking for help to keep our plastic extrusion and production lines running smoothly. We are need of a Maintenance tech with the knowledge of production lines, mechanical and electrical. You would be asked to perform PMs as well as scheduled maintenance and emergency maintenance.
Must have at least 3 years’ experience in a warehouse/factory setting keeping equipment running, troubleshooting and fixing issues as well as preventative maintenance. Must understand that when a machine goes down, the business is losing money and work to help minimize any and all down time for mechanical issues that come up.

Maintenance Lead Job Duty List:
- Coordinating with Outside Vendors:
- Engage with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance projects.
- Obtain quotes, evaluate vendor capabilities, and ensure timely completion of contracted work.
- Timely Machine Repairs for Production:
- Prioritize and execute timely repairs to machines and equipment to minimize production downtime.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
- After-Hours and On-Call Responsibilities:
- Be available for after-hours on-call duties to address urgent maintenance issues.
- Respond to phone calls promptly and coordinate necessary actions to resolve issues.
- Facilities Maintenance:
- Oversee the maintenance of the overall facility, including plumbing, electrical systems, and structural components.
- Implement preventive measures to ensure the longevity of facilities and promote a safe working environment.
- Preventive Maintenance (PM) of Equipment:
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive PM schedules for all equipment based on manufacturer recommendations.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance activities to prevent equipment failures.
- Documentation of Repairs:
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs, including the nature of the issue, the repair process, and the parts used.
- Log repair activities in a centralized system for future reference and analysis.
- Monthly Reporting to Management:
- Generate monthly reports summarizing completed repairs, ongoing maintenance projects, and equipment performance.
- Highlight any upcoming maintenance requirements, potential risks, and recommendations for improvement.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor the maintenance team, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
- Coordinate with production and other departments to prioritize maintenance activities that align with overall organizational goals.
- Safety Compliance:
- Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and standards.
- Implement safety protocols and provide ongoing training to the maintenance team.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the maintenance function.
- Implement best practices to enhance the overall efficiency of the maintenance department.
