From your PASSION to ours Provides general maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities in any given area of the plant. Demonstrates advanced skill performance in at least three of the primary maintenance functions, intermediate skill performance in three other primary maintenance functions, and basic knowledge of the other three primary maintenance functions. The maintenance primary functions are listed as follows: Electricity, Electronics/PLC, Plumbing, Mechanical, Machine Shop/Millwright, Welding, Boilers, Refrigeration, and Pneumatics/Hydraulics.
From your EXPERTISE to ours
Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Inspects and listens to machines and equipment to locate causes of machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.
- Understands the manufacturing operation, equipment, and support systems of the company and will set up systems to respond to maintenance concerns regarding them as well as respond promptly to break downs.
- Completes assigned P.M.’s and work orders, dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas, inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, and other problems; removes and replaces worn or defective parts of drive mechanism and hydraulic system.
- Applies knowledge and skills to perform the regular and reoccurring maintenance, installation, and repair work of operation, repair and maintenance on plant operations.
- Repairs any broken parts quickly and efficiently; starts machine and equipment to ensure proper operations after a repair has been performed.
- Learns, trains, and performs continuously in other maintenance functions and displays progressive improvements in skills and performance.
- Interprets documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Assists in training other maintenance personnel and trains machine operators on proper equipment procedures.
- Completes other duties including shop cleanliness, tool maintenance, paperwork, etc.

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:
Education
- BS and five to ten years related experience, or offsetting amount of experience in lieu of education
Experience
- Must have experience with food/dairy production & packaging equipment and systems.
Skills/Abilities
- Familiar with PLC's, electrical power, instrumentation and process equipment.
- Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel

Pay: $29.00 - $40.38 per hour
