Job Duties:
• Performs skilled maintenance, repair, adjustment, and minor construction work in the trades to ensure that facilities are properly maintained and meet College standards.
• Assists Facilities Management Services (FMS) management in planning work, identifying staff training needs, and in project management.
• Duties may fall into a variety of trades, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, energy management, fire and life safety and keys/security systems.
• Performs preventative maintenance on building systems, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and control systems and related components; tests system competency and component devices and evaluates performance.
• Assists FMS management in planning and scheduling preventative maintenance work and recommends approaches to preventative maintenance programs.
• Repairs and maintains a variety of facilities systems, components and structures; repairs building plumbing, low-voltage, and line voltage electric systems, door hardware, fire and life safety protection equipment/systems, sprinkler systems, sensors and related hardware and software; constructs and maintains indoor/outdoor facilities, fans, lights and related; conducts structural inspections for safety.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Five years of facilities maintenance, construction, or repair experience in a commercial or industrial setting
- Two years of education or training, or an associate degree, in the facilities maintenance trades may substitute for two years of work experience*Some positions may require two years of experience in a specialized trade.
- Must have a valid driver's license for operation of a motor vehicle.
- Power and hand tools used in facilities maintenance; recordkeeping techniques and regulations, including use of automated record systems; OSHA workplace health and safety standards and procedures; use of personal computers to use automated recordkeeping tools, automated system controls, and emails.
