Position Summary:
Join the Maintenance Department team as a Temporary Full TimeMaintenenace Tech and assist with a variety of building maintenance tasks, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, test and inspections of physical plant equipment, and preventive maintenance duties in a hospital setting. This is a temporary position for up to 3 months.
Qualifications
Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred; two years of technical or trade school preferred.
Experience: Must have experience performing general maintenance, basic mechanical engineering, and repairs on facility equipment and property structures. Experience in operating a variety of hand/power tools and equipment ensuring proper safety precautions. Healthcare industry experience highly preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Must have a valid driver's license. EPA certification highly preferred.
Additional Requirements: Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and carpentry is a plus. Experience with compliance with The Joint Commission, EPA, Hazmat and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
Core Work Hours: Work on-call or flexible hours as needed; occasional overtime.
