Objective of Position:The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for insuring that
plant equipment (process, utilities, and auxiliary support) is
operating properly and to insure that a safe working environment is maintained.

General Description
of Position:Listed below are some of the general duties considered
necessary to perform the essential functions of this position. However, these shall not be construed as a detailed and complete description of all work requirements that may be inherent in the job.
General Responsibilities and Duties:
General responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Ability to perform daily scheduled maintenance on paint lines, flash ovens, ovens and paint conveyors.
- Basic welding experience a plus
- Complete all work-orders as assigned by maintenance supervisor
- Ability to read electrical and pneumatic drawings (schematics)
- Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment
- Troubleshoot PLC and SLC controllers, motor controls, hydraulic, pneumatics, and electrical
- Maintain facility fire suppression systems such as pumps, generators, and other associated equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain HVAC equipment
- Ability to install, repair, or troubleshoot industrial low/high voltage circuits
- Provide support for all company established programs for continuous improvements such as ISO, Lean Manufacturing, Focus on Excellence, 5-S, etc.
Qualifications:
For knowledge statements, according to the Uniform Selection Guidelines issued by the
Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the following definitions of knowledge are:
Basic: General familiarity; aware universal principles and able to locate
details/access resources. Understanding of a determinate number of
functions or activities.
Solid: Working knowledge; able to apply general principles. Understanding
of most functions, operations or activities. Includes a general knowledge of
applicable theory.
Expert: Able to apply general principles and specific details. Understanding
of virtually all functions, operations or activities. Includes full comprehension of applicable theory.
- A solid knowledge of production, support, and auxiliary equipment associated
with an industrial facility.
- A solid working knowledge of basic electricity, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding,
machine shop, millwright, blueprint reading, and other general skills.
- A solid knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and other miscellaneous equipment necessary to perform the job.
- A solid knowledge of the occupational hazard and safety precautions of the
work involved.
- Basic understanding of NEC and NFPA building codes as well as industrial wiring applications
Acceptable Training and Experience:
- Minimum high school diploma or GED required with (5+) years electrical maintenance experience in industrial setting or
- Completion of industrial maintenance electrical program preferred.
- Completion of OSHA 10 Hour or OSHA 30 Hour preferred
- Experience and training with NFPA 70E and NEC codes
- Training in PLC / SLC programming

Work Environment:
- General facility on manufacturing floor setting.
- Personal Protective Equipment is required in designated areas.
- Noise can be generated from production equipment.
- Possible fumes from process may exist.
