Job Description
General Purpose of Job
Perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks. Troubleshoot issues, repair failures of manufacturing equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. Maintains building environment and grounds by maintaining building, heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment; providing housekeeping, grounds keeping, and repair services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

§ Investigates machine downtime for root cause and work with Engineering to suggest countermeasures to prevent re-occurrence.
§Coordinates spare parts and tools needed for equipment repairs and follow up on part’s deliveries
§Keeps equipment operational, systems and building ready for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; maintaining maintenance records; following policies and procedures; completing repairs and installing replacement parts; reporting needed changes.
§Assist in training for special machine maintenance
§Maintain good communication between all shifts with all Maintenance associates.
§Makes inspection of equipment repairs to insure quality
§Completes any special work assignment assigned by Supervisor
§Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications.
§Makes daily inspection of maintenance work area for good 5S control.
§Enhances maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
§Support of team members to achieve team goals (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and Morale).
§Full support of 5S5T program. Complies with applicable Exedy America Corporation policies and procedures.

Education and/or Experience
§ High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
§ Associates degree in a maintenance related field preferred.
§ Prefer a minimum of (4) four years’ maintenance experience in a high-speed transfer production line environment.
§ Must be highly skilled in electrical / PLC programming.
§ Should possess electrical and/or mechanical skills with experience in hydraulic/pneumatic troubleshooting, machine repair and new equipment installation.
§ Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
§ Should possess good written/verbal communications skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is
occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme heat; and potential exposure to energized electrical equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
