Job description

Under general supervision, provides a variety of credentialing and administrative duties to support the daily activities of the Credentialing department. Assignments are characterized by the ability to act upon generally defined directions and to undertake follow-up efforts when necessary. Works closely with new applicants to obtain and initiate the application process. This process involves data entry, data collection, verification and analysis of data to determine qualifications for appointment/reappointment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Associate degree, preferred.
  • Experience in a business or healthcare office.
  • Credentialing or physician enrollment experience, preferred.
  • Ability to set priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment often including time deadlines, frequent interruptions, multiple demands and multi-tasking.
  • Ability to communicate and tactfully interact with all providers, senior leaders, and medical affairs staff.
  • Strong knowledge of and skill in use of personal computer, Word, Windows, Internet, etc.
  • Demonstrates ability to maintain confidentiality of privileges information and to exercise discretion in handling confidential information.
