Job Description
- Maintain all production machines
- Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment
- Take and react to all breakdown and maintenance requests from management and machine operators
- Schedule and perform preventive maintenance
- Repair machinery and equipment
- Installation and maintenance of power systems and regulators on machinery and equipment
- Assist in installation of machinery as required
- Visually inspect building and building equipment
- Maintain physical building and equipment on schedule such as HVAC, painting, fabrication construction, grounds, expendable resources, storm drains, oil storage areas, air compressors, and chilled water pump
- Order parts for machines and building s needed for maintenance
- Keep maintenance tracking log and ensure program is up-to-date
- Follow up on condition of equipment and machinery
- Prepare downtime report using maintenance software
- Collaborate with Engineers in modifying and upgrading machines
- Explain operation and maintenance of machinery to machine operators
- Schedule and approve work activities of external contractors
- Follows safety and environmental procedures and standards in order to maintain a safe working environment and to minimize the impact to our environment
- Good verbal and communication skills
- Working with operators and leadership on problem solving activities
- Manual dexterity to feel, handle, and manipulate tools and small components
- Basic literacy (good reading, writing, and arithmetic skills)
- Good sensory skills, i.e. hearing, smelling and identification of colors
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to read and understand company procedures, equipment manuals, blueprints, diagrams and schematics, and supplier catalogues.
