Maintenance Tech/ 2Nd Shift

The 2nd shift maintenance tech will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and control systems to find root causes of trouble.

Responsibilities:

• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
• Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
• Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts.
• Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
• Lubricates and cleans parts.
• Cleans machines, internally and externally, as required to maintain good operating efficiency.
• Starts devices to test their performance.
• Follows and performs preventive maintenance to production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Sets up and operates drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.

Additional Duties in maintenance software (MicroMain):

• For unscheduled equipment issues (machine down): Creates work order to define machine issue, enters comments/pictures on action taken to resolve the issue, enters list of parts used to complete the repair, completes, and saves sign-off of quality group to ensure products made on equipment were verified before resuming equipment in production
• For scheduled maintenance (PM): Follows PM check list in MicroMain, perform PM plan, enters comments/pictures as needed to describe machine status during the PM process, completes and saves sign-off of quality group to ensure products made on equipment were verified before resuming equipment in production

Qualifications:

Associate degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay: $27.00 - $31.00 per hour
