2nd Shift 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm
3rd Shift 11:00 pm - 7:30 pm
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform maintenance activities in a high-performance working environment on a regular basis to ensure optimum utilization of materials and manpower to maximize production, safety, quality and efficiency
- Generate and complete work orders to ensure materials are available from the parts room. Initiate work requests when work cannot be performed immediately
- Communicate and work with other operators, line leaders and the technical leader on maintenance issues
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspection functions and take the initiative to ensure these programs are modified and updated as needed
- Participate in training to improve and maintain technical skills, teamwork, creativity and communication skills
- Participate in root-cause failure analysis with team members and maintenance leaders for major downtime
- Actively participate in team and plant meetings and activities
- Follow all safety, housekeeping and regulatory agency requirements
- Accurately troubleshoot, perform preventative maintenance, coach and teach, and repair to original specifications of processing, packaging, and facility equipment
- Read and understand technical documentation including electrical and mechanical drawings
- Safely operate maintenance shop tools
- Ability to test mechanical equipment
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma plus two years of technical training preferred
- 2-5 years maintenance experience preferred
- Excellent technical and troubleshooting skills and knowledge of all crafts, including mechanical, electrical and technical
- Machinist skills, welding, light fabrication and electrical skills are a plus

REQUIREMENTS
Understand, troubleshoot, and repair the following mechanical systems:
- Pumps; centrifugal, and positive displacement
- Power transmission equipment; electric drives, gearboxes, and conveyors
- Hydraulic systems, motors and power plants
- Pneumatic systems, including valves and actuators
- Utility systems including compressed air, water, steam and condensate
- Lubrication fundamentals
Understand, troubleshoot, and repair the following electrical systems:
- AC and DC equipment control circuits, including blueprint reading
- AC motors: single and multi-phase
- DC motors
- Variable Frequency Drives
- Process sensors: RTD’s, pressure transmitters, proximity, level, photo, and flow
- Servo control systems
- Fanuc robotics
- Programming
Must understand Programmable Logic Controllers and troubleshoot relay ladder logic. Must read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings, including schematics. Must be a highly motivated, self-directed worker, capable of working alone or in a team environment to solve problems and implement solutions. Experience with root cause analysis tools, failure modes, and continuous improvement preferred. Ability to follow safe work practices such as LOTO.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Must be willing to work additional overtime as required
- Successfully qualify on operational skills and function as an operator when needed
- Must adhere to the plant’s attendance policy
- Business need may result in long hours and occasional weekends
- Perform the necessary physical activity for purposes of operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment including:
- Climbing stairs and ladders, standing on, and moving around on platforms, equipment and concrete floors, working at elevated levels
- Lift objects up to 75 pounds using proper lifting techniques
- Stand and walk at minimum 70% of the time
