This Maintenance Supervisor Position Features:
Summary: Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment, by performing the following duties. This job description superseded any prior descriptions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Analyzes work orders and blueprints to determine information such as material to be used, type of operations, and sequence of operations required.
Directs workers in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
Assists workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment and repair of that equipment.
Directs workers engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery.
Requisitions, purchases, and keeps supply of spare parts for Maintenance.
Studies maintenance schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
Must be able to be on call 24 hrs/day, unless planned otherwise in advance. Ensure 24 hrs/day coverage when not available.
Responsible for janitorial services and grounds up-keep.
Responsible for maintaining compliance to city, county, state and Federal laws and regulations.
Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
Develop and maintain preventative maintenance program, including regularly scheduled equipment shut downs for maintenance.
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew by utilizing lean manufacturing techniques.
Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Responsible to work with Quality prior to, during, and after any customer audits.
Responsible to work with Quality for corrective actions.
Maintains harmony among workers and solves grievances.
Complete yearly employee evaluations.
Reviews time and production records for accuracy.
Documents any disciplinary action of subordinates. Ensures HR or a member of management is present.
Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education/Experience:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Electrical/Electronic troubleshooting experience is required. Knowledge of 120V, 240V, and 480V is a must.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardi
