SALARY: $80,000 - $100,000/year (DOE)
DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:
- Manages the daily work and safety of associates engaged in building, grounds, sanitation, power industrial equipment and security
- development, response effort coordination.
- Suggests efficiency ideas, cost reduction measures and assists with the implementation of changes within facility maintenance, and power industrial equipment.
- Establishes preventative maintenance schedules for all systems, equipment, and buildings including HVAC Systems, electrical and energy management, dock doors/dock plate systems, power industrial equipment, building components (roof, interior & exterior floors/walls, doors, paved surfaces, and landscaping).
- Conducts audits ensuring all required inspections and documentation are completed accurately and retained to ensure minimum potential for loss.
- Maintains associate relations through regular department or pre-shift meetings; maintains on-going interaction; keeps open communication channels with associates by answering questions and explaining policies and procedures; monitors associate morale
- Coordinates efforts with Safety department conducting associate observations, up-dating preferred work methods, conducting accident investigations to determine root causes, and routine safety inspections. Makes recommendations for disciplinary action and/or behavior modification where required.
- Supervise the mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair of all the plant equipment including as a minimum conveyors, mixers, ovens, fryers, motors, pump and ammonia pneumatic and hydraulics systems.
- Be the maintenance subject matter expert. Ensure that all the maintenance personnel on the shift are trained and in compliance with required qualification to operate equipment relevant to their position.
- Train maintenance teams and other plant personnel in quality/safety processes and new job processes to meet performance standards.
- Be the point of contact for maintenance management to keep plant running at peak efficiency.
- Supervises and oversees the shift to achieve departmental quality, quantity, service, cost and safety goals.
- Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on equipment and plans for and takes corrective action.
- Instructs / supervises training of employees in the performance of their job in a safe and efficient manner.
- Initiates and maintains accurate records and reports (i.e., daily reports, purchase orders, injury reports, and special projects). Track labor, downtime and report daily to management.
- Set goals for maintenance personnel and assist them in accomplishing objectives.
- Assist mechanics in solving repair issues and prioritizing assignments.
- Performs the duties of associates supervised and other related duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma, plus technical education or equivalent of a minimum 5 years documented experience in an industrial maintenance related field. A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience required.
- Must have a excellent knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, PLC’s, refrigeration, boilers, mechanical equipment and facilities.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Familiar with USDA requirements, HACCP, HAZMAT and CMMS.
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus. Must be willing to work on weekends.
