Maintenance Supervisor:
Summary:
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Supervisor for maintenance is responsible for managing the work of the Maintenance Technicians for the installation, preventative and general maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and changeovers. This would also include all aspects of employee management such as environmental, health, and safety oversight, mentoring, training, communicating maintenance needs, interfacing with other managers, and ensuring all procedures are followed.
TECHNICAL AND OPERATIONAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
* Prioritize, plans, coordinates, leads and manages the scheduled and unscheduled work of Maintenance Technicians to achieve line efficiency, quality and safety standards.
* Develops, manages and timely executes the Preventive Maintenance program for production equipment utilizing the Maintenance Technicians and equipment manufacturers" service personnel.
* Effective and timely troubleshooting on all aerosol production lines and recommends necessary corrective action to assure maximum equipment utilization and efficiency.
* Ensures that preventative actions are taken to avoid or minimize the risk to have opportunities reoccur.
* Effectively manages the budget and the parts inventory management system to include critical parts identification and stocking and timely execution of the cycle count process.
* Keeps current and updates the department"s work order and communicates future Maintenance upgrades, rebuilds and necessary down windows.
* Compliance with all appropriate regulations, rules, policies and procedures (i.e. federal, state, corporate, etc.)
* Active participation and involvement in all required or associated Conducts Performance Development Review (PDR) discussions, performance management, skill development and certification of Maintenance technicians to ensure qualified skill sets.
* Identifies and assigns trained, qualified and quality-oriented personnel.
* Provides constant communication, guidance, coaching and support necessary to perform their jobs effectively and accurately.
* Enforces strict safety, SOP and GMP compliance within assigned areas.
Qualifications:
* High School diploma or GED equivalent required. BS in Electrical or Mechanical Degree preferred
* Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in a team-based manufacturing environment
* Technical knowledge of high-speed production, consumer packaging equipment and operations.
* Strong mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance, or reliability maintenance background is desired.
* Demonstrated competency in attention to detail, accuracy, work standards, initiative and managing work
* Must have strong communication skills and command of the English language, both verbal and written
* Must be able to perform duties with minimal / no direct supervision
* Proficient with email, computers, software, and data processing
