Maintenance Planner/Scheduler
Job Summary
This position will coordinate and schedule all service calls, repairs, and maintenance performed by the Facility Maintenance department at the Northrop Grumman facility in San Diego. The basic functions of the job Dispatcher/Facility Services Coordinator are to plan, organize, and dispatch service technicians in response to customer service requests and in conjunction with customer and the department’s needs. Provides data entry and retrieval from the computerized maintenance system (CMMS) database. Regular work schedule is a 9x80 schedule Monday through Friday (every other Friday off).
Job Duties include:
- Comply with Fluor and customer prescribed and published work rules, policies, procedures, and safety practices.
- Perform dispatcher/facility maintenance service coordination and management of the Facilities Help Desk.
- Proactively provide communication to clients, customers, and maintenance personnel.
- Respond to and process all incoming service requests and work orders.
- Coordinate maintenance workforce scheduling to ensure successful completion of work orders and service requests, initiating follow-ups as needed.
- Assist in office administrative activities as required (filing, mail distribution, CMMS system upkeep and training, etc.).
- Procure goods and services as needed, especially parts as needed to assist with maintenance completion of work orders and service requests.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5+ years experience in a Planner/Scheduler role in the service, maintenance, or repair industry is required.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English verbally and in writing. Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
- Prior experience with CMMS (e.g. Maintenance Connection) is preferred.
