Kendal at Oberlin's Facility Services Department is currently seeking an individual for the role offull time, 11p-7:30a, Maintenance Night Watch.The Maintenance Night Watch person will perform a variety of tasks relative to the general maintenance of equipment and repairs, as well as to maintain a safe and secure environment. More specifically, this role will be tasked with, including but not limited to:

Kendal at Oberlin's Facility Services Department is currently seeking an individual for the role offull time, 11p-7:30a, Maintenance Night Watch.The Maintenance Night Watch person will perform a variety of tasks relative to the general maintenance of equipment and repairs, as well as to maintain a safe and secure environment. More specifically, this role will be tasked with, including but not limited to:
- Safely operating, using and maintaining basic maintenance tools and power equipment.
- Respond quickly to medical, fire, weather and transportation emergencies.
- Respond to maintenance emergencies including heating, lighting, plumbing, etc.
- Perform inspection checks of boilers, pumps, air handlers, sprinkler systems, etc. for proper operation.
- Perform interior/exterior security checks.
- Securing and storing equipment when not in use.
- Ensuring safe storage and disposal of all waste, refuse, lubricants, etc.
- Reporting equipment in need of repair or replacement.
Qualifications and experience:
- Must be physically able to walk long distances, climb, bend, push, stoop, pull crawl, lift with no more than minor correctable deficiencies in sight and hearing.
- Must display good attention to detail and basic knowledge of housekeeping chemicals, equipment and cleaning/operating techniques.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work with little or no supervision.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
- Must be capable of working with people of all ages, genders and races.
