Schedule: 8:00am to 4:30pm

PAY: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour

Job Purpose:

Maintains production equipment and quality of production by ensuring proper operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

Essential Functions:

• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Repair of maintain the operating condition of industrial machinery and facility equipment. Performs change over setups on equipment as needed for production in an accurate and timely matter ensuring minimal downtime.
• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements on motors, conveyor systems, and production machines.
• Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions.
• Inspects and monitors work areas, examines tools and equipment, to ensure a safe working environment.
• Troubleshooting malfunctions - Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. Ability to locate the source of problems by observing mechanical and electrical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, preventative maintenance, and maintenance requests.
• Operate basic maintenance shop machines, sanders, grinders, drill press, hydraulic press.
• Keep maintenance shop in clean safe working and refill basic supplies as needed.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Six (6) years of experience in industrial maintenance experience or related field
• Excellent mechanical skills with knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, and electrical theory.
• A High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Applicable training desired
• Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities, deadlines, demands and assignments while maintaining cohesive and harmonious working relationships.
• Must be able to research information in order to resolve problems; identify issues requiring further attention; corrections and/or make recommendations; then take preventive actions; process facts and apply judgments; communicate with others to provide or obtain information.
• Must be able to work in an environment with loud noises, heat, cold and strong odors.
• Perform receptive key stokes to compile and prepare documents, reports, forms, and correspondence.
• Must be able to stand/walk for 8 - 10 hours.
• Some heavy lifting required, up to 50 lbs.
• Push/Pull; use both hands to package product, repetitive work.
• Mathematical skills - Ability to calculate and perform basic arithmetic and understand ruler metrics.
• Communication skills - Requires good use of the English language. Ability to read, write, analyze, and follow instructions; Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, peers, and customers.
• Instruction - Ability to receive and follow instructions.
• Able to work in food product environment with various herbs and spices.
• Team player - establishes and maintains collaborative working relationships with others related to learning, problem solving, backup support and fostering team support.
• Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
