The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the execution and achievement of maintenance metrics, production efficiency and scrap savings initiatives, ensuring safe and reliable machines/utilities performance on achievable production environment.
Organizational Development
- Utilize Weekly 10 performance plan to communicate and execute team member and department priorities and goals, achieving or exceeding critical departmental objectives.

- Interface effectively with other maintenance functions to maximize success and increase expertise across the entire organization (Electrician, Mechanics, Purchasing, supplier, and contractors).
Operational Excellence

- Verify material/Supplies/parts received are as ordered and optimum stock level kept, maintaining organized and efficient stockroom; no misses on parts, and no excessive inventory
- Keep >85%% maintenance workorder completed and close on FT Maintenance
- Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or sanitization control standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized Shop warehouse by ensuring all tools, equipment, pieces and materials are clean and put away in designated areas. Maintain established 5S plan.
- Develop, communicate and attain clear metrics in Maintenance Downtime (<9%), % Maintenance downtime per asset, Planned vs Unplanned maintenance rate and PM, WO completion rates. Complete safety DM and PM <5 days. Maintain WO completion <20 days on average.
- Provide as required daily Operation meeting input/gaps explanation on maintenance topics in Shipping, Slitting, Coating, Quality, Ops and Maintenance areas.
- Work directly with the site scheduler ensuring time for PM's in strict in order to maximize the uptime.
- Create a detailed PM plan for each planned PM downtime. Illustrating exactly what work is to be done, and the benefit of completing this work.
- Utilize data Monitoring data for Maintenance Excellence (MTBF, MTTR, MTCO) in Redhawk
Cost Savings Initiatives and Support
- Follow up and administer the annual maintenance budget with a targeted completion date of Nov 1st of each year.
- Monitoring and follow up a monthly maintenance budget performance report that clearly identifies our YTD maintenance expenses vs. plan as well as details for contractor costs/overtime expense/etc.
- Maintain and organized spare parts inventory and replenishment system in support of downtime goals, while minimizing the amount of working capital required.
- Justified and made to ensure a safe operation centered on continuous improvement.
- Support capital project justification efforts in collaboration with operations Maintain a clear capital and maintenance project pipeline that identifies investments.
- Ensure all approved capital and maintenance projects are completed on time, on budget, and meeting payback expectations.
- Active participation on projects in order improve execution to reduce scrap/Downtime, increase productivity, quality, etc.
