Job Description
- Supervises and leads all maintenance processes, operations, vehicle maintenance, housekeeping, and donation pickups.
- Inspect sites regularly to identify problems and necessary maintenance.
- Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work as per forecasted workloads.
- Supervises and trains maintenance staff.
- Coordinate daily cleaning and maintenance activities.
- Oversee all repairs and ensure that work is completed on time.
- Maintain all inventory and equipment and ensure proper storage.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices on site.
- Conduct preventative maintenance work and follow-ups on all maintenance and repair work.
- Ensures that all fleet vehicles are properly maintained, serviced, licensed, and inspected.
- Conduct safety inspections as scheduled.
- Establish strategies to meet workload demands on time.
- Tracks expenses and prepares the budget for maintenance.
- Maintains all properties and vehicles to ensure they are all working standards.
- Creates and implements maintenance procedures.
- Conducts regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.
- Plans and manages all repair and installation activities.
- Ensures all department workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures.
- Assign repair schedules and evaluate repair cost estimates.
- Documents and prepares daily progress reports and maintenance logs.
- Oversees spending and places orders for new supplies when necessary.
- Processes and codes maintenance invoices.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, facility management, or a similar field is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in maintenance.
- A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
- Previous managerial experience is a bonus.
- Good understanding of the technical features of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of general facilities repair.
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

After more than 35 years of service, CHT offers an extensive continuum of care model for homeless youth including mental health and substance abuse counseling, educational and vocational training, transitional and permanent living programs, street outreach and prevention, pastoral ministry and parenting classes in addition to providing the basic necessities of food, clothing, medical care and safe shelter from the streets for youth in crisis.
