Maintenance Technician/Make Ready

PRICE REALTY MANAGEMENT CORPORATION is a leading multi-family residential investment and property management company with properties in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston and Austin markets. We are currently recruiting an experienced MAINTENANCE/ MAKE READY to join our team at our community located in the Houston Memorial area.

Under the direction and guidance of the Lead Maintenance, the position is responsible for efficiently performing routine maintenance duties and to assist the Lead with organizing, directing and managing the overall maintenance program of our apartment community.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist the Lead Maintenance Technician with completion of service requests; make ready; pool and grounds care, and preventive maintenance:

Ensure the physical condition of the new rental units are acceptable to company standards.

Make Ready / Turning Units in between resident occupancy.

Repairs plaster/Painting/Staining both interior and exterior applications.

Maintaining property exterior grounds and common areas of property.

Repairs/replaces windows, latches, screens, hinges, sliding glass doors, shelves, baseboards, mirrors and closets.

Assists in the install/repair/replacement/removal of appliances.

Repairs/replaces sinks/baths/showers and faucets, sink plugs, washers.

Make general A/C, Appliance and Electrical repairs.

Performs carpentry work, painting and plumbing duties

Install, repair and re-key locks in accordance with key procedures

Ensure positive resident relations by responding to service requests in a friendly, professional manner and within the designated time frame

Works on-call, overtime, weekends, holidays, and evening work as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have good oral and written communication skills to understand and follow directions and to communicate professionally and effectively with co-workers, residents, vendors and corporate staff

2+ years multi-family maintenance and make ready experience

Maintain a strong emphasis on customer service

Must have reliable transportation to and from work each day, a valid driver’s license, current insurance and the ability to work on-call.

EPA certification a plus
