Position Summary
The Maintenance Utility is responsible for maintaining a safe and efficient manufacturing operation. Utility assignments to support operational organization and production. Willing to work overtime as needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Performs routine maintenance tasks such as filter changes, clearing drains and production pits, digging ditches, surface and/or equipment cleaning, sanding, painting, etc. in support of projects and operational excellence.
- Loads and unloads materials, stocking supplies, organizing and cleaning storage spaces and other labor tasks as assigned.
- Repair /install brick, concrete, jackhammer or demo and spread asphalt.
- Operate and/or basic service of necessary equipment such as power washer, ShopVac, floor sweeper, forklifts, Bobcat, and other assigned work.
- Some experience of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, metal fabricating or welding are preferred, not required.
- A high school diploma.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Can properly read a tape measure.
- Previous manufacturing, contracting, forklift or other related experience.
- Excellent attendance and communication.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
- Constant standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, as well as carrying, lifting, pushing and pulling.
- Exposure to a physical environment, which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, airborne dust particles, vibrations and moving mechanical parts.
