Ultimate Staffing is looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician/PLC Controls Technician for a leading manufacturing company in the Franklin County, Missouri area. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3-5 years Industrial/manufacturing experience, electronics technology education (trade school, military, apprenticeship etc.), knowledge of programming and electrical/controls required/PLCs (Allen Bradley preferred), familiarity with servos and robotics, and be able to work nights.
$3000 SIGN ON BONUS!
Pay rate: $35-44/hr (depending on experience)
Shift: 5:00pm-3:30am Monday-Thursday
Status: Direct Hire
Overview
This position is responsible for performing electrical maintenance, troubleshooting faulty electrical equipment, troubleshooting PLC and computer program problems, making required changes to programs as needed, assisting with projects that are predominantly controls/automation oriented, scanning and data collecting installations and other duties as assigned.
Position Specific Responsibilities:
- Ability to wire 480V 3-phase power systems (required)
- Trouble shoot controls and relays logic.
- Ability to fix industrial mechanical systems. (IE: photo eyes, conveyors, gearboxes, proximity switches, production equipment, etc.) (required)
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems (IE: reading wire diagrams, installation, flow meters, starters, relays, VFD's) (required)
- Ability to repair mechanical systems (I.E: chains, sprockets, bearings, motors, seals, pumps, valves, cylinders) (required)
- Ability to conduct preventative maintenance (IE:chart/data, PLC, SERVO, etc.) (required)
- Ability to read product manuals and mechanical drawings for repairs (I.E. hydraulics, pneumatics, schematics) (required)
- 2-3 years of Electro-Mechanical Automation System Installation & Troubleshooting Experience.
- An operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery which includes motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial / electronic controls, and power transmission systems.
- A good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- A strong PLC trouble shooting and problem-solving ability with practical, mechanical & electrical aptitude.
- Must be able to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Must be fully computer literate with Microsoft environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a mature and professional manner.
- Ability to work various shifts / overtime / days per week.
- Use Plasma cutter and Mig welders
In addition, our ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to identify errors and suggest corrections, strong organizational skills, and a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
At minimum, the candidate for the PLC Controls Technician must have:
- 5-7 years Industrial/manufacturing experience desired
- Electronics Technology education preferred, trade school, military, apprenticeship etc.
- Demonstrated knowledge of programming and electrical/controls required/PLCs (Allen Bradley preferred)
- Familiarity with servos and robotics
