The primary focus of this position is to maintain industrial and production equipment throughout the facility, including but not limited to Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulics, Pneumatic, Plumbing, and HVAC building maintenance.
Essential Functions/Key Accountabilities:
- Follow direction provided by Maintenance Supervisor, Leader, or designee.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to, and enforcing, all safety procedures and policies inside and outside the facility, including use of personal protective and McLanahan equipment as required.
- Represent McLanahan Corporation in a positive manner both internally and externally while adhering to the organizations core values.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, management, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Support and develop preventative maintenance program. Complete Preventive Maintenance as required.
- Handle general industrial and production maintenance and repair for a variety of equipment in the facility including but not limited to overhead cranes, overhead doors, HVAC/Ovens, and any other machines within the industrial and production environment.
- Complete repairs on electrical and mechanical component of all equipment and ensure all maintenance task are performed in accordance with Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Operate troubleshooting and test equipment for digital and analog volt/OHM meters.
- Rebuild gearboxes, drivelines, pumps, and other equipment as assigned.
- Work on all equipment breakdowns in a safe and timely manner.
- Operate forklift, scissor lifts and aerial type lifting equipment and other equipment as necessary.
Education/Qualifications/Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent. Vocational training desired but not required.
- At least three (3) years of experience working in an industrial environment; including mechanical, plumbing and electrical knowledge.
Competencies/ Knowledge/Attributes:
- Working knowledge of the effects of grease and oil.
- Thorough understanding of mechanics and electric and facility maintenance.
- Computer literacy including MS Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Must be able to work with limited supervision and in stressful conditions.
- Ability to successfully reach company goals in an environment in which a wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.
- Be able to work with a variety of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and on call as needed.
- Understanding of the principles of NEC and electromechanical system 480v down to low voltage.
- Become certified to operate lift trucks, lifts, and other powered/hydraulic equipment.
- Must be able to read/interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, sketches and technical manuals.
- Experience in troubleshooting machine control systems, PLC, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Physical Requirements:
Primarily standing while performing the duties of the position and requires frequent bending, crawling, stooping and climbing ladders for up to ten (10) hours. Must also be able to utilize hand tools and work on lifts up to 65 feet in the air. Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
