The Housing Authority of the City of Camden, Arkansas is seeking an individual to serve as Maintenance Director. This person will supervise maintenance operations serving 519 public housing units. Duties include directing and scheduling all maintenance staff, seasonal and temporary workers, skilled journeyman and providing for other maintenance needs. The Director will develop goals, action plans, systems, and procedures, and will prioritize regular and preventative maintenance work. Requirements include broad knowledge and experience in a cross-section of maintenance and construction trades. The ability to read blueprints, plans, and construction specifications is a must.
The individual must possess strong organizational/communication skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with subordinates, outside contractors, the public, and residents. The Executive Director directly supervises this position. Applicants should have a combination of education, training, and work experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited vocational school, college, or university.
