Maintenance technicians play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery, equipment, and Tools. Responsible for performing regular inspections, troubleshooting issues, conducting repairs, and carrying out preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Job Description:
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on machinery, tools, and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and implementing comprehensive preventative maintenance procedures.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and technical issues with equipment.
- Conduct inspections to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
- Repair and replace defective parts or components using hand and power tools.
- Collaborate with other departments to schedule Maintenance and minimize downtime.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Maintain operating logs on all equipment; record and report all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences.
- Responsible for hazardous waste disposals.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while performing maintenance tasks, prioritizing Sandvik's commitment to a safe and sustainable work environment.
- Train other team members on proper equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and technical issues.
- Strong knowledge of hand and power tools used in maintenance work.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Physical stamina and agility to handle various tools and equipment.
- Certification or training in maintenance or a related field is a plus.
