SAIC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Aviation Mission Planning System (AMPS) Field Service Representative (FSR) to join our team in Huntsville, AL. 

This role involves providing classroom instruction, technical support, and help desk services.  FSR shall provide operational support and field support including deployment of the system/software for local and remote locations. Remote locations span all theaters of operations, CONUS and OCONUS to Aviation units. The successful candidate will conduct tests on the latest AMPS software and provide feedback to the software development team as well as create training materials using tools such as PowerPoint, Adobe, and OneNote.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver both formal and informal instruction.
  • Provide FSR support as requested by the customer.
  • Offer Tier 1 and Tier 2 help desk support, resolving basic customer issues and escalating more complex issues, as necessary.
  • Understand and apply mission planning concepts and aircraft performance factors.
  • Understand airspace, airports, airways, and navigation aids.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot hardware, software, and Windows operating systems.
  • Knowledge of networking hardware/software over classified and unclassified government networks.
  • Understand mission planning system functions and external interfaces, including setup and teardown procedures.
  • Work independently, identifying and analyzing important factors and conditions to anticipate customer needs.
  • Decide on the appropriate course of action based on analyses of subjects and issues related to assignments.
  • Collaborates with customer or internal functional organization to develop, enhance, and/or evaluate new or existing learning objectives and course content. 
  • Create training materials, visual aids, and documentation to support field training, computer-based training (CBT), and/or web-based training (WBT)

Qualifications

Education Requirements:   

  • Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience; or nine (9) years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree; Six (6) years' additional experience can be accepted in lieu of degree (per contract vehicle).

Clearance Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance; US Citizenship required.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience operating the U.S. Army’s Aviation Mission Planning System (AMPS).
  • Proficiency in using standard office equipment and machines, including personal computers, scanners, copy machines, telephones, printers, fax machines, and other office equipment.
  • Provide Pre-deployment training and Help Desk technical support for AMPS in remote locations that can span all theaters of operations, CONUS and OCONUS.
