The State of New Hampshire, Revenue Administration, Taxpayer Services has a part-time vacancy for a Mail Clerk.
Summary:
To process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail for the Department of Revenue Administration. Ensures operations office is maintained in a clean, neat and organized manner. Performs work order requests and installs and moves furniture, partitions, equipment, and cabling, as needed.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Sorts, weights, and applies postage to all classes of mail in accordance with postal regulations to ensure written communication is transferred in a timely and cost effective manner.
Picks up and delivers inter and intra-departmental mail according to a regular schedule. Schedules, delivers and picks up mail including insured, registered and special delivery mail.
Provides pickup and deliveries to state agency(s) and United State Post Office via vehicle to service inter-agency mail needs in a cost effective and timely manner.
Resolves minor problems and maintains regular upkeep of postal equipment to ensure continued operation in a cost effective manner.
Drives vehicles to deliver and pick up supplies, equipment and deliver fleet vehicles to various vendors for
maintenance and/or repairs, as needed.
Reviews work order requests with the Division Director for action, prioritization or rerouting.
Performs work order requests and installs and moves furniture, partitions, equipment, and cabling. Assists building trades with interior building maintenance, as needed.
Performs other duties associated with maintenance and mailroom operations including messenger functions within a department and to outlying offices, as needed.
