Description: 

Responsible for consultation on Pipe fitting issues with department employees.

Daily Activities:

• Consultation on Pipe fitting issues with department employees 
• Cuts, threads, and bends pipe
• Assemble and install variety of metal and nonmetal pipes, tubes, and fittings, including iron, steel, copper, and plastic.
• Connect pipes, using threaded, soldered, and brazed
• Secure pipes to structure with brackets, clamps, and hangers
• Install and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment
• Pressure check system and observe connected pressure gauge to test system for leaks
• Weld pipe supports to structural steel members
• Observes production machines in assigned area of manufacturing facility to detect machinery malfunctions

Requirements:

• 6+ years' experience Machine Tool Pipefitter
• Ability to hand bend or power bend pipe
• Experience assembling and installing a variety of metal and nonmetal pipes
• Strong welding experience
• Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid system troubleshooting experience
• Ability to lead a team of 5-20 employees
