Production Associate

The Production Associate is an hourly, full-time position; located at the Fort Myers Manufacturing facility. The Production associate is responsible for operating production line equipment, finishing products and reporting any issues with equipment directly to Production Manager.

The Production Associate is responsible for the effective and efficient production of the required daily/weekly/ targets in line with company specifications. This position reports to the Production Manager.

Hours of operation are Monday thru Friday, 6:00am to 3:30pm. However, additional time may be required, as needed, to meet the established commitments. This position is a contracted position that will require a separate Non-Compete, Non-Disclosure and Confidentiality Agreement.

Tasks include but not limited to

• Assemble goods on production lines
• Feed raw materials into production machinery
• Monitor the production process
• Carry out basic quality and testing checks
• Store goods and raw materials properly
• Use lifting equipment and forklift trucks to fulfill orders
• Pack and assembly goods to be shipped
• Maintain work areas and equipment

Teamwork:

• Work as a part of the Production team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending and supporting continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimize results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements delivery in line with Company and client requirements.
• Liaise and communicate with other departments, and other service providers when necessary
• Recommend solutions without compromising quality or service while optimizing cost

Minimum Requirements:

• Tool/Machine Experience preferred
• Computer proficiency
• Must be detail oriented and work with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
• Takes initiative within area of responsibility
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works both indoor and outdoor in all weather conditions. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and exposure to loud noises from operating equipment. The employee may occasionally work in high, precarious places, steep slopes and on ladders. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme hot and cold as well as other types of inclement weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The employee is required to wear personal protective equipment under appropriate circumstances. The following physical abilities are required:

• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions including seasonally hot or cold temperatures and in climate weather.
• Ability to lift, carry, or shovel objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds
• Ability to perform physical labor requiring continual and repetitive use of large motor skills to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, crawl, crouch, shovel, push, pull, twist, turn, stretch, reach, and continual and repetitive use of fine motor skills and manual dexterity
• Ability to work around equipment that generates noise, vibration and heat. Ability to hear, see, taste, touch and smell. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to distinguish colors and different shades of colors
• Bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head
• Standing, sitting, and walking for up to 8-12 hours a day
• Forklift certification per OSHA standards
• Ability to climb stairs/stepstools/ladders when necessary

Summary:

This position plays an integral role in maintaining the everyday flow of operations.

This positions is focused on meeting quality and delivery expectations, minimizing costs where possible and ensure the required best working practices are maintained at all times. Accurate and efficient manufacturing.

Compensation:

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
