$2,000 Sign-On Bonus*
*Sign-On Bonus is payable for only candidates applying directly with Trelleborg Sealing Solutions. Candidates through outside recruiting agencies are not eligible for this bonus. Candidate must start within two weeks after offer acceptance and successfully pass pre-employment screening. $1,000 is payable after 90 days and the remaining $1,000 is payable after 180 days of employment. Summary of the Role
The CNC Machinist operates computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts. The CNC Machinist sets up machine, loads parts in the machine, cycles machine and detects malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools. The position runs production lots, communicates with co-workers regarding productions runs, and maintains a safe, organized and clean work environment.
Tasks and Responsibilities
CNC Machinist A (High Middle Level)
- Create new and modify existing moderately complex CNC machining programs with no supervision, determine processing methods, tooling needs, and tool feed and speeds for most efficient and cost effective operation.
- Design tools and fixtures as necessary to meet machining needs and to improve existing and for new operations.
- Standardize tooling usage in department as feasible.
- Must demonstrate proficiency on at least three different work centers

CNC Machinist/Machine Operator B (Low Middle Level)
- Modify existing simple CNC machining programs with minimal supervision, and/or set up automated equipment, determine processing methods, tooling needs and tool feed and speeds for most efficient and cost effective operation.
- Set up equipment, install tools and fixtures, make machine control settings, run first piece sample parts, check for required specifications and run job.
- Select, load and test program, modify program and make necessary machine feed, speed and axis point adjustments.
- Review production schedule, work orders and related paperwork to plan CNC equipment setups, pull machine tools as specified and insert in tool holders.
- Troubleshoot problems, respond to alarm, retrace program to locate problem and make necessary corrections.
- Replace, reset and sharpen tools when necessary.
- Must demonstrate proficiency on at least two different work centers.

Machine Operator C (Entry Level)
- Reads routing and performs work as assigned by department supervisor or lead person.
- Runs production machines including but not limited to: lathes, mills, saws, vibration deburring machines, printers, etc…
- Pack finished goods into correct packages and cartons in all departments.
- Assembles parts.
- Runs Injection Mold Machines as needed.
- Monitor machine operation and check parts throughout run and make necessary adjustments to ensure part specification and quality standards are maintained.
- Use measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, ring gauges, and pi tape; all employees are responsible for their own quality.
- Accurately report work order completions, material issues, and scrap into the ERP system.
- Self-starter who can work with minimum supervision.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Notify supervisor of any safety, quality, mechanical or material issues.
Education and Experience
Required
- High school diploma or GED
Preferred
- National Institute of Metalworking Skills (NIMS) Machinist Certification
- Other related certifications will be considered
- CNC Machinist technical training
- Good blue print reading skills
- Good shop math skills
- Ability to read and write English
- 3-5+ years’ experience in a production and/or machining environment for a mid-level or advanced level position

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days of work are Monday through Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for the day shift, and 3:15 p.m. to 1:45 a.m. for the 2nd shift. Shift schedules may vary depending on business needs. Overtime typically occurs on Fridays and Saturdays.

Safety
- Employee must wear Personal Protective Equipment when in the manufacturing plant or tool room.

Work Environment
The employee primarily works in the manufacturing plant. While in the plant, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibrations. The noise level in the plant work environment can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position involves sitting, walking and lifting less than 20 pounds for long periods of time throughout the day. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds infrequently. When lifting anything the employee feels in beyond their capacity, or anything in excess of 50 pounds, the employee is required to use a lifting aid, such as a crane or lift table, or request assisting in lifting from another employee.
