Job Description
This position is responsible for providing technical support for the PVD Coating production in order to maintain efficient operations with zero defect quality. You will be responsible for the setup, monitoring and basic maintenance of PVD coating machines. Evaluating cleaning and coating results and inspecting tools once the coating process is complete. You will learn fixturing techniques and orientation requirements for proper PVD processing when building planetary loads. You will learn and perform cleaning procedures to tooling before coating cycles. Perform tests from time to time to ensure standards are being met to ensure coating thickness and adhesion are within specifications. While assisting with quality assurance and technical matters at times. Perform sandblast cleaning to coating tools and parts at times. Keep workspace clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
· Must have High School Diploma
· Strong written and communication skills
· Knowledge of cutting tools, tool & die, etc.
· Basic Math
· Metric & standard measurements
· Ability to be on your feet throughout the day
· Maintaining high level of cleanliness, “lab-like”
· Time management
· High attention to detail
· Able to work independently often
· 1 year or more experience in the manufacturing field.
· Manufacturing operator experience is a plus.
· Can lift 25 to 50 pounds at a time.
Rate: Based upon experience (starting rate $17.00/HR)
