Division Overview
Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview

Applicant will be required to set up a variety of automatic injection molding machines and secondary operations. Run new mold piece part samples, maintain production runs, and troubleshoot mold machine. Check for safe and quality operation. Help resolve complex issues and provide feedback to the supervisor regarding molding functions.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Ability to routinely handle parts weighing up to 50lbs

· Ability to walk and/or stand constantly throughout shift

· Ability to frequently bend, reach, push, pull, etc.

· Ability to constantly do repetitive motions throughout shift

· Follow all company established safety and employment rules.

· Identify and use correct materials per the work order.

· Verify mold temperatures.

· De-flash excess material from molded parts.

· Visually inspect parts for defects and notify QA of excess defects.

· Perform required wall thickness checks of parts.

· Report all machine and maintenance problems immediately.

· Follow all 5S procedures including standard work

· Record production and quality information.

· Regular on-site attendance is required.

· Other Duties may be assigned.

Pay: $18.99 - $21.51 per hour
