Machine Maintenance Mechanic – 2nd Shift
State-of-the-art packaging company is hiring a skilled Machine Maintenance Mechanicto join their 2nd shift. The Machine Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for setups, repairs and maintenance of the packaging and support equipment. This is not an entry level position. We are looking for an experienced Machine Maintenance Mechanic with the ability and know-how to hit the ground running. This is a Furst-to-Hire position and a great opportunity to be part of a growing company.
Hours: 2:50pm – 11pm with possible OT and an occasional Saturday
Pay: $26.50
Machine Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities:
- Know and comply with applicable SOPs and Work Instructions; review and revise as needed
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, following safety guidelines
- Diagnose technical problems, recommend solutions, and implement corrective actions
- Make thorough and accurate entries in appropriate logs and record systems
- Perform and complete changeovers, set-ups, and tear downs
- Perform major equipment adjustments, repairs and rebuild projects
- Perform preventative maintenance
Machine Maintenance Mechanic Requirements:
- Knowledge of automated flexible packaging in a GMP environment
- Possess good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to use hand tools
- Demonstrate aptitude for equipment adjustments, problem solving and major repair and rebuild project work
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years’ experience as Mechanic I or equivalent required
- Fork truck experience preferred
- Must know how to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
- Excellent reading ability
- Ability to lift or move 60+ pounds
