Machine Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Assistant to join our team. The Assistant will work closely with our team to support various tasks and projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.

First Shift: 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday

Second Shift: 3:15pm-1:45am Monday – Thursday $2 shift differential

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the setup, operation, and monitoring of the rotational molding machines and process.
• Collaborate with maintenance technicians to perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and minor repairs on machinery, ensuring optimal functionality and extending equipment lifespan.
• Inspect finished products and components for defects, ensuring they meet the company's quality standards and specifications. Communicate any deviations or irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
• Safely handle and transport raw materials, semi-finished components, and finished products within the production area. Organize materials to ensure efficient workflow and minimize downtime.
• Assist in accurately record production data, machine settings, and maintenance activities in designated logs or digital systems. Assist in generating production reports and performance metrics as required.
• Actively participate in process improvement initiatives by suggesting ideas to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize production workflows
• Continuously learn about the machinery and processes used in the manufacturing facility. Participate in training programs to develop technical skills and stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
• Work closely with machine operators, technicians, and other team members to ensure effective communication and coordination in achieving production targets.

Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, machinery, and tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime and weekends, as production demands require.
• Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment. Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly to supervisors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
